Product Description

As a document imaging database, Concordance 8 gives you the ability to search through otherwise unmanageable amounts of data to locate just the precise records necessary for the case at hand. The product also boasts extensive case analysis and organization features. This leaves you free to organize and manipulate crucial documents as you choose.

If youre a litigation support professional, this book will teach you effective strategies for installing, administering, and maintaining the Concordance database. Youll also learn how to analyze data files and identify and repair potential data flaws that could contaminate data and undermine search accuracy. The book carefully teaches you how to

  • Create and administer a Concordance database
  • Load documents into the database using Opticon 3.0
  • Exploit complex search logic to aid in document review

In short, this book will empower you to prepare your own high-quality trial documents, instead of vulnerably relying on third-party-prepared data.

Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Thrilled!   November 12, 2007

This book, mostly through its logical organization and step-by-step process, has been of far greater assistance to me than the User Guide provided when I purchased the software. The User Guide provides instructions via how the "Menu Bar" is organized, which is not how most people learn software. Mr. Haley's book starts with what the software can do, how you create various types of databases (back-end procedures & administration), leading to how you use the databases that you've created.

I cannot thank you enough for your treatise, Mr. Haley! I hope you follow-up with an updated version for Concordance 2007; I'll buy that one, too!
